You can commission a survey and tree work separately. Send an existing BS5837 report for a work quote, or ask about tree surveys for planning if you need the report first.
Before booking a survey, confirm the named survey provider, their relevant qualifications and the deliverables required for your application. A BS5837 survey records tree condition and retention categories; those categories do not authorise work.
From the survey we price and programme the removals, pruning and clearance the approved scheme and the written specification require. One company handles the physical work from there.
The work quote should identify the trees, operations, protection, access and waste handling. Check any planning conditions and consents before agreeing a start date.
