Commercial tree surgery across North Yorkshire
We work with facilities managers, developers, schools, estates and landowners who need tree work planned around a live site. The job may be one dangerous tree beside a building, a group of trees on an estate, or work specified by a planning condition.
Send the site location, marked photos or a plan, access restrictions, operating hours and any existing tree survey. We assess the site, agree the scope and provide a written quote with the paperwork needed for the work.
North Yorkshire commercial tree work
- Planned pruning and removals
- Deadwood removal, crown reductions, crown thinning and controlled removal where the tree condition and site plan require it.
- Development and planning work
- Tree work specified by a BS5837 survey, planning condition or approved arboricultural method. If you need the survey first, see tree surveys for planning.
- Live-site support
- Work around access routes, car parks, schools, deliveries, residents and other contractors, with exclusion zones and an agreed sequence.
- Stumps and arisings
- Stump grinding, timber processing and green-waste removal where included in the written scope.
Operational coverage we can confirm
Our operating profile covers Northallerton, Richmond, Stokesley, Thirsk and rural areas across the North York Moors, as well as County Durham and the wider North East. We don’t publish a town list as a substitute for checking a job. Send the actual site location and we’ll confirm whether the travel, access and programme are workable.
Commercial documentation and safety
We prepare site-specific RAMS for the agreed scope. The assessment considers plant positions, exclusion zones, overhead lines, underground services, public access, neighbouring property, ground conditions, weather limits and waste handling. Site inductions, permits and lone-working arrangements are followed where they apply.
Existing TPO, conservation-area, ecology and planning information should be sent with the enquiry. We can check the relevant consent route and tell you when a separate survey or specialist ecologist is needed. We don’t begin restricted work on an assumption that paperwork will sort itself out later.
Named completed work and evidence
Our published tree removal case study records a genuine North East domestic customer decision. It isn’t a North Yorkshire commercial reference. Every North Yorkshire enquiry starts with a site assessment so coverage, scope and documentation are confirmed against the actual property.
What this service excludes
Demolition, groundworks, contaminated-material removal and ecology surveys aren’t included. Work outside the agreed tree and vegetation scope isn’t included. Stump grinding is a service we also provide, quoted separately. See our stump grinding page. Traffic management and specialist lifting are priced separately where needed.
Quote process for North Yorkshire sites
- Brief us. Share the location, work area, access, operating constraints and any survey or planning documents.
- Walk the site. We confirm the tree condition, hazards, method, sequence and controls with the responsible contact.
- Receive the scope. The written quote sets out the work, waste handling, RAMS basis, exclusions and programme assumptions.
- Complete and hand over. We carry out the agreed work and leave an agreed completion record.
Commercial tree surgery pricing
There’s no useful price per tree for a commercial site. Tree size and condition matter, but access, lowering requirements, traffic controls, operating hours, distance from the site entrance, waste volumes and paperwork can matter just as much. We quote after understanding those factors and confirm the price in writing.
Commercial cover. NPTC and LANTRA qualified. Constructionline Gold certified. £10M public liability insurance. Site-specific RAMS for commercial work.
What customers ask
Common questions
Which North Yorkshire sites do you cover?
Our operating profile includes Northallerton, Richmond, Stokesley, Thirsk, rural North York Moors locations and County Durham. Send the actual site location so we can confirm access and programme suitability.
Can you work around a school or business that stays open?
Yes, subject to the site assessment. We plan exclusion zones, work windows, access routes and handover around the people and operations using the site.
Do you provide RAMS and insurance evidence?
Yes. We prepare site-specific RAMS for the agreed scope and can provide evidence of our £10M public liability cover and Constructionline Gold certification.
Can you work from a BS5837 survey?
Yes. Send the tree schedule, plans and approved specification with the enquiry. We can quote and carry out the specified tree work, or quote the survey separately if it isn’t yet available.
How is a commercial tree surgery quote calculated?
We consider tree condition and size, access, lowering or lifting, operating constraints, permissions, waste, equipment and the required programme. A written site-based quote is more reliable than a generic rate.
