Ross Webster Tree Services provides professional stump grinding across County Durham and North Yorkshire. Our grinder handles stumps of all sizes, from small ornamental tree stumps to large hardwood remnants left over from major tree removal. The machine fits through standard garden gates and works in tight spaces.
You do not need to have used us for the tree removal. If another contractor took the tree down and left the stump, we will sort it.

How stump grinding works
1. Check. We confirm the stump location, size, and access. Underground services checked where relevant.
2. Grind. Machine grinds the stump down below ground level. Typically 20 to 60 minutes per stump.
3. Clear. Wood chip removed or left as mulch. Ground raked level. Done.
Pricing
Stump grinding starts from £80 per stump. Larger hardwood stumps, multiple stumps, or stumps in awkward access positions are quoted individually. Multiple stumps on the same site get a discount. We tell you the price before we start.
